April Fools — ATC

I am not sure the title “he cracked up” will make sense in the picture, but if you look closely it appears the joker is behind cracked glass. I coated him with UTEE and sprinkled in micro beads. After it cooled, I bent the card in different directions to make it crack.

I am starting to play with ideas for the next mingle coming up in late February in my altered art group. The theme is Fairy Tales, and the first idea I came up with was related to Alice in Wonderland.

Since I plan on making a few, then deciding which one or two to throw into the mingle, I will post them here as I finish them.

This is my entry for the Ladies in Big Hats mingle in my altered art group. The photo was taken on May Day in 1943 in a small town in south eastern South Dakota.

Sugar and Spice ATC

I did manage to squeeze a new ATC  in today. It is for my altered stArt yahoo group. The theme was Sugar and Spice. If you look back at my other ATC’s you will see my first attempt at this theme. It was the ballerina dancer.  I am struggling to get away from the scrapbook look to my ATC’s, but I just haven’t found my nitch yet! I will just keep plugging along until I do!

I needed a distraction to keep me busy until my daughter comes home from college on Tuesday, (her flight arrives about 11:30 PM on Monday) so I decided to make some new ATC’s for upcoming themes in my altered art group.
